I was born and raised in Colorado. My family and I moved to Florida in 2003 to enjoy some warmer weather. As a child I was always encouraged in my creativity. Art, music, and dance have always been a part of my life. It was soon after moving to Florida that I started to focus on painting. While working as a holistic consultant, I painted as much as possible. It became an absolute necessity in my life. I began to view the world around me differently and I now see inspiration in everything, including the mundane and overlooked.

I strive to create work that has movement, fluidity, and depth. I want the viewer to be drawn into the painting, below the surface where it can be fully experienced. Although I find the hues of the sky and water to be of particular interest, I love all color. I use it in its rawest state, vibrant and alive. I often apply bold, flowing lines to the canvas using paint directly from the bottle. This process of freestyle painting involves spontaneity and it also requires vision and intention. I always have an image in mind before beginning a piece.

Painting brings me much joy and emotional fulfillment. It is truly an expression of my soul, and I invest all of my energy into each piece I create. I aspire to portray that in my work and I hope those who see it are able to perceive that.
