CALL TO ARTISTS - Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association, Inc.
This call is for those artists who are able to provide both originals and less expensive “gift” products or prints.
We are offering a unique opportunity for Bay Area artists to reach a national market. Our organization is hosting a National Conference at the Marriott Tampa Waterside, September 15-17, 2008. This 2 ½ day event typically draws approximately 600 individuals from around the country and Canada. This event focuses on Women’s Addiction and Recovery issues; therefore art with a healing, personal growth, or spiritual message would be particularly interesting.
To offer something unique to the attendees, we have decided to open part of our exhibition area to local artists/artisans/craftsmen/writers! We know many of our attendees will be looking for something to purchase from their time in Florida…we thought we would make it convenient for them to find a special item.
We will have space to show originals, although you will have to provide the easel or stand best suited for your work. Depending on medium and size, we should be able to show 3-6 pieces freestanding and you will have table space to show a selection of smaller items.
We must charge an exhibition fee of $250.00 - a 50% reduction in exhibition price. (Dealers, reps, or galleries will pay full exhibition fee of $500.)
In addition to the show space, we will also promote you in our conference program and press packets.
Please forward up to 5 images of your work – space is limited and we want to offer a nice blend of mediums. Include size, medium, availability of gift items ($15-$100 items), pricing range, and brief artist bio. You may submit questions and images to: EMAIL HERE
