I was born and raised in Homestead, Florida and moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1991 to attend the University of South Florida. I received a B.A. in Visual and Performing Arts, a B.A. in Art Education and I began teaching Art at the High School level in 1996. It has been my privilege to teach two dimensional art, photography, sculpture, and ceramics for Hillsborough County over the years while residing in Brandon, Florida with my
beautiful daughter, Aidan Taylor.

Artist Statement:
As an overly analytical person, and as a visual learner, art has always been for me the opportunity to see my
experiences over a longer period of time in a richer, more symbolic format. All of this is an effort to explore and to dissect the events of life and to extract from them a rational perspective of myself and my surroundings. While my own conceptual reasoning is very important, it also carries with it the understanding that each viewer brings his or her own set of experiences and ideas to the image and gleans from it what they will, hopefully making it for them an equally cathartic experience.
